Weve had it for probably 4 years now & havent had a computer glitch since. (Our old browser brought viruses, spyware, & repair bills several times a year. Our computer was agonizingly slow & so was our internet use. This was from that popular "free" search engine most people use.)
Also, I just hate the idea of those who have no right to, knowing information about me & my loved ones that we didnt volunteer. Why isnt it considered breaking-&-entering or theft when complete strangers sneak onto someone elses computer, "place" "cookies" that use up someone elses purchased memory & negatively affect someone elses computer use, or listen & watch someone elses family by commandeering someone elses camera & software? They werent given a password or key, werent given permission, or offered a place to store their things. If a person physically entered your house that way, hed be arrested! DuckDuckGo recognizes this as a violation & prevents advertisers, pervs, & advertising pervs from doing this.
The only complaint I have is, the iPhone version doesnt have all the same features the app has for computers & other devices. On this version theres no parental control, site-blocking, or ad opt-outs/preferences on the settings.
